CITI FIELD HONOR GUARD


On Sunday 17 July 2011, members of Det. 240 NSQ were asked to do the Honor Guard Duty for the NY METS & TBI OF NYS.

On Wednesday 4/20/11 Commandant Jim Seaman Det 240 Presented a Plaque to Suffolk County Sheriff Vincent DeMarco and his Department for their help with the Detachments burial details.
One for Homeless Marine Pvt. Henry Landry the other was for the Detachments Commandant Joe Diehl.
Special Thanks to Deputy Sheriff Bill Xixis & Sheriff's Dept Butch Langhorn for their special help.
Also Attending was Sr.Vice Commandant John Giordano & Jr. Vice Bill Novak. Semper Fidelis

Congratulations Det.Ming Li Ret 5th Pct. Chinatown, Anna Mighaelides, James Dimacelli from the Kennedy Roth Funeral Home and our own Al Cavello. Al and Commandant Jim Seaman accepted this award for the Whole Detachment 240 NSQ. LEAVE NO ONE BEHIND !!!
USMC PVT. Henry Landry died a homeless man .But when Det Li and the Good People in Queens found out, he was buried as Brother Marine Should Be, out in Calverton National Cemetery , LI, NY

Commandant Joe Diehl presents opening statement to start the Ceremony.

Detachment 240 members as well as other paticipants pay tribute to this fallen Marine. After the Ceremony, it's time for warming up and a little fellowship.



20 February 2010
On Sunday February 20th members of NSQ were invited to a get together at Valencia Ravioli in Lynbrook. It was put together by CPL John Spolidora who's Son John Jr., owns the Deli / Rest . Cpl Spolidora Lives in Ohio. He is friends with our own PO Susan Porcello (Honorary Member NSQ). Great Food , Great Stories , Great Jokes, Great time had by all !!!!

2011 Iwo Jima Veterans Ceremony
On 19 February 2011 SI Detachment 246 honored WWII Iwo Jima Veterans with a Ceremony on the 66th Anniversary of Iwo Jima.

Our Detachment members attended this Ceremony in honor of these special Marines.
